Q:  Are you a full time web developer / designer or do you have another part time job and develop websites when you have spare time?
A:  I am a full time freelance web developer and designer.  I wake up and build websites everyday. So you can count on me when it comes to getting jobs done on time and on budget.
Q:  Do you only do web design or can you also create a logo for me if I need one?
A:  I can create a logo for you if you don’t have one already, and I can also create business cards, brochures, and fliers as well.
Q:  Do you have a preference of the type of clients that you work with?
A:  As long as the project is something that I am capable of completing I don’t have a preference as to who I work with. I enjoy the variety of jobs that are out there and I treat every client the same regardless of budget.
Q:  Are you a flash web developer? Can you build a flash website for me?
A:  I am not a flash developer. All of my sites are built with current web standards as the foundation (i.e. validated HTML & CSS).
Q:  Do you have some previous work that I can look at to see if I like your sites?
A:  Sure. If you click on the past work link it will give you a few links to sites that I have built in the past.
Q:  How much do you charge to build a website?
A:  Well, that is completely dependent on the job. Every job is different, and the scope of work involved can vary greatly. But if you email me or call me with a basic idea of what you are looking for, it should be pretty easy for me to give you an estimate on the work you need done.
Q:  Can you build a site that I will be able to edit myself in the future when I want to make changes?
A:  Yes, I can do that for you if that is something that is important to you. That is called a CMS (content management system) in the web world. It is called a CMS because the client (who most likely has no knowledge of how to build a website with html code) can then manage their content through a user friendly interface. Typically, for a budget minded client, I would use WordPress to build in this way. However I can also build a custom content management system using PHP and a database to store the content of the site.

Another option would be to pay me for my time to update the site for you as needed, if you would prefer to not deal with editing the site at all. This would be a more cost effective option for someone who does not plan to make changes on a consistent basis to their website.

Q:  Will you optimize my website so that it is found easily in search engines, or do I need to hire a separate company to do that?
A:  Your site would be optimized for search engines as it is created, so there would be no need to hire a second company. By coming up with a list of search terms that you think people would like to find you with, we can create the site based around that list.
Q:  What if I have a website already, but I have grown tired of the look and would like it updated. Can you revamp my website?
A:  Yes, I can do that for you as well. If you have all of your content on the old site, then the hardest part for you is already done, and I can just bring it up to a current standard.
Q:  Can you help me to create a custom blog so that it does not look like every other blog out there on the web?
A:  I can help you to create a custom blog by using WordPress and some hand coding to create a custom template for you. The blog template created for you would be a one of a kind.
Q:  How does payment work? Can you accept a credit card payment?
A:  You can pay me however you like. Cash, check, or credit card are all fine. And I typically require 50% of the total cost up front to begin work on a new project.
